What conviction is...

There is guilt. And then there is conviction. Guilt depresses, defeats, demoralizes. Conviction motivates and redirects. Guilt is a seed planted strategically by the devil that crops up at the most unexpected times to remind us how pathetic we are. Conviction is an uncommon gift from the Holy Spirit that may come wrapped in sandpaper and burn all the way down. But its purpose is to redeem, to restore, to renew. Embrace conviction - sandpaper and all. It's God's patient way of giving us another chance.

Psalms .....

I am still read/praying/ talking to God through His Psalms.
I am now on Psalm 109. As God has lead me through this book I know I have grown closer to Him. Much wisdom has been given to me in these verses. Many ideas for future sermons/messsages have been put on my heart from this book.
I will say again, read through the book of Psalms. You may say 150 chapters is a lot and it is, but if you don't have a personal relationship with God before you read them - you will after you have read through them.
I recommend not to just read them as just another thing you did that day. Pray , read, study, seek God- through them.
So 100 plus days of God's Psalms- I wouldn't trade my time with God in these verse for anything.
To Him be the glory!
Psalm 108: 12-13 , " Give us help from trouble, for the help of man is useless. Through God we will do valiantly, for it is He who shall tread down our enemies."

CELL PHONE vs.The BIBLE

I wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our

cellphone?

What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?

What if we flipped through it several time a day?

What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it?

What if we used it to receive messages from the text?

What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?

What if we gave it to Kids as gifts?

What if we used it when we traveled?

What if we used it in case of emergency?

This is something to make you go....hmm...where is my Bible?

Oh, and one more thing. Unlike our cell phone, we don't have to worry

about our Bible being disconnected because Jesus already paid the bill.

Makes you stop and think 'where are my priorities?

And no dropped calls!
