The character of a godly man is a reflection of the character of God. He is gracious, compassionate, righteous, generous. He delights in making gifts to those who are in need. He stands immovably fast in his resistance of evil and in his faith in the perfect will of God. His conscience is clear and his faith is strong. Therefore his heart is never disconcerted by the announcement of evil tidings, but he remains strong in his confidence because of his trust in the God whom he knows so well and loves so devotedly.
